Our Story
Miller’s Roofing & Siding is a family & friend owned and operated business throughout Minnesota and northern Wisconsin. Doug Miller started with a wood ladder and borrowed equipment from his father, Stan Miller, in 1989. Growing up, Doug worked next to Stan on many roofs, learning the ways of the trade. Soon Doug’s brother, Dennis Miller, would join the company and take over the Duluth area, while Doug worked on the Iron Range.
Kim Brown joined the company in 1990 as the secretary and book keeper, making her one of the longest standing employees and is still working with the guys today. As the years went by more family and even friends would join the company. Jeff Carlson (Twin Ports/Iron Range), Mike Miller (Brainard), Nathan Bartness (Twin Ports), Tommy Voelker (New Richland) Austin Miller (Grand Rapids/Hibbing), and Zach Miller (Twin Ports/ Iron Range) have worked for the company right out of high school, most even in high school. Austin Miller, son of Doug, joined the company in 2016 making him the 2nd generation of Miller’s Roofing & Siding.
Coming from humble times growing up, Doug saw roofing as not only a business opportunity, but as something he could share with his brothers, his son, family and close friends. Currently, Miller’s Roofing & Siding completes over 800 home projects a year!
